'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane cools on Premier League homecoming

Kane achieves his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has revealed that his enthusiasm in returning to the Premier League has lessened and he is prepared to negotiate a new deal with Bayern Munich.

The prolific striker is at the moment halfway through the four-year deal he agreed to when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the transfer window of 2023.

The veteran forward has scored an impressive 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German team, helping them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which represented the first major honor of his distinguished career.

Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has recently mentioned that he would like to see Kane return to England, where he requires 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring feat of 260.

However, the England skipper has now suggested that he is no longer as keen about coming back home as he earlier was, and would certainly contemplate prolonging his tenure in Bavaria.

"In terms of remaining longer, I could certainly see that," he stated.

"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be prepared to talk and have an honest conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so progresses and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not focusing about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have realized in my career is that different opportunities and different moments happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."

Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the all-time top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the speediest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five competitions, securing the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a title had avoided him until he lifted the German title last season.

Kane admits that he was not sure how he would react after ending his trophy drought, but now thinks it has made him motivated for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.

"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Future Prospects

  • Future success with Bayern Munich stays Kane's main focus
  • The option of a Premier League return has considerably decreased
  • New contract negotiations could start in the coming future
  • Kane's outstanding goal-scoring form continues to impress
